What We Do
We believe that every child deserves to have all their care needs met. However, unfortunately many orphaned children in poverty are often left in desperate circumstances. Of course ensuring that they survive their tough circumstances is our priority but, beyond that, we are dedicated to providing them with an opportunity to thrive. You too can choose to contribute towards a system that has allowed us to provide dignified, effective and comprehensive care for years.
Sponsorships
The monthly financial support received by each eligible child is life changing. With a minimum of £55 per month, the basic needs of the child can be looked after and they are brought above the poverty line. Sadaqa (Charity) Boxes
Every contribution however small mean a lot as 100% of the money placed in Al-Ayn Sadaqa (Charity) Boxes is distributed exclusively to orphaned children living below the poverty line as part of a fixed monthly sum of financial aid until they are matched with sponsors. Toys Campaign
We believe that giving children a sense of a regular childhood is invaluable, alongside meeting all their essential needs. Medical Care
To date, Al-Ayn (Iraq) has carried out over 41,000 medical treatments for orphaned children and their mothers/guardians. In hundreds of cases, the treatment included operations. Sometimes, treatment has been conducted abroad. Our supporters who wish to contribute to medical care treatments or services can do so by visiting our donation page or by donating via Bank Transfer and using the reference AYN MED.
Educational Support
Every child of school age at Al-Ayn is encouraged to remain in school to enable them to achieve their potential. Al-Ayn (Iraq) runs volunteer-led tuition classes for children during holidays and weekends. Each child also receives a back-to-school kit at the beginning of every year, which includes school uniform, a school bag, stationery and more. Psychological Rehabilitation
We are dedicated to providing services that cater to the mental health needs of orphaned children because we believe mental health matters. To date, Al-Ayn (Iraq) has registered over 1,400 orphaned children to its Psychological Rehabilitation Programme. We are building six more Psychological Rehabilitation Centres across Iraq to give even more children access to vital care.
